Dear Contestants,
Thank you for your interest in the 2009 Somerset County Fair Leadline Competition. This is an exciting opportunity for you to show your sheep at its best and to model an outfit made of nature’s most versatile fabric-WOOL. Complete the following guidelines below to enter this year’s competition.
1. Complete the enclosed Leadline information sheet. Return it along with the
$3.00 entry fee or ten dollars for groups to Deb Svonavec by August 22, 2009. Entry fee checks should be made payable to the Lady Shepherds.
2. There will be a Leadline demonstration and practice session for all contestants on Sunday, August 23” 2009 at 2:00 PM in the show barn.
3. Competition is on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 5 PM. All contestants are required to be at the Judging Area at 4:30 PM dressed
and ready for the show. Please have your haltered lamb with you.
***Handmade Garments will be judged at 3:30 PM at the fair office. Contestants should come dressed and ready to be judged at that time.
Don’t forget to e-mail your Leadline Information Sheet to svonavecdk@verizon.net and mail your $3.00 entry fee for individuals
or $10.00 for groups by August 22, 2009.
