Lauren Albright first started singing at church when she was five years old. She’s never stopped.
Now, a very talented and experienced 20-year-old, Lauren combined her desire to help people with her love of music to study music therapy at Mansfield University. She is active in both the choir at Mansfield and also the dance team.
She is thrilled to be performing at Somerset County Fair again this year. Her singing abilities range from country to classical with a special emphasis in show tunes. She has performed in quite a few musicals such as “Footloose” as Rusty, Miss Hannigan in “Annie Jr.” Jane in “The Secret Garden,” Penelope in “Bye Bye Birdie,” Hilda in “Plain and Fancy,” and Liat in “South Pacific.”
Lauren has also appeared at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, Clinton County Fair, Sinking Valley Dinner Theatre, Raystown Lake’s Regatta and Amphitheatre, Penn State University, Huntingdon County Fair with “Dan and Galla’s Musical Show.” She recently was asked to perform a solo with Blair County Children’s Concert Chorale at their 10-year reunion concert.
Lauren lives in East Freedom and graduated last year from Central High School where she received a music award and scholarship. Her dream is to someday perform on Broadway.
