ATTN: All Baked Goods will be sold at
auction on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit a needy cause.
(Refer to General Rules)
- All products must have been made by the exhibitor. Premiums will not
be paid for commercial products.
- Complete baked goods must be brought to the fair. After judging, the
fair may display only a portion of the product for the week.
- Entries must be on disposable plates and properly wrapped in plastic.

Pies Pies are to be judged on texture of crust and flavor and
consistency of filling. $7 $6 $5 A. One crust pie, any kind not cream filling, no custard B. Two crust pie, any kind C. Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest $10 $5 $3
In the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie contest, each pie will be judged on the
following basis: overall appearance; crust color; flavor; texture and
doneness; filling consistency, doneness and flavor; and creativity. Creativity is essential to a varied competition. Do not limit your entry
to traditional twocrust apple pie. We are also looking for a variety
of the fillings in the pies, but the pies must include at least 60
percent apples in the filling. Recipe needs to be included with the pie. Each apple pie winner will be certified, allowing them to enter the
state competition at the Farm Show. Premiums for the Farm Show
competition will be: first place, $160; second, $100; third, $70;
fourth, $40; and fifth, $35. At the Farm Show level, the contest is jointly sponsored by: The Pa.
Apple Marketing Program, the Pa. Department of Agriculture, and
the Pa. Association of County Fairs. A Best of Show will be selected.
