All drivers must fill out an application before
taking part in the event.

Officials reserve the right to approve or reject any
application.

All vehicles in the pit area are parked at your own
risk.

Positively no Chrysler Imperials with fill frames,
Jeeps, trucks, ambulances, or four-wheel drive vehicles. NO COMPACT
CARS.

We do not recommend removing the dash. If dash is
removed, a bar must run from the driver’s side to the passenger’s
side in place of dash.

Seatbelts and safety helmets are required. Face
shields or goggles are recommended. Do not take off your helmet or
seatbelt until the heat is completed.

Rear seats must be removed completely. Loose dirt and
pieces must be removed.

Gas tanks must be removed from the original location.
Gas tanks must be mounted in front of the rear axle. NO gas tanks
mounted directly behind the driver’s seat. You must have at least
two tie downs on the tank. All caps, fittings, and lines must be
leak proof. No plastic tanks of any kind. No wire, rope, or seatbelt
straps accepted as tie downs. If gas is accidentally spilled during
the fill up, hose out well. NO EXCEPTIONS!

No special bumpers or reinforcements will be allowed.
Bumpers may be cut. NO Sharp edges allowed. Positively no welding
bumper shocks.

All glass, including headlights and taillights must
be removed. Windshield may remain in or be taken out. If it is taken
out, heavy screen must be in front of the driver.

Driver’s door may be reinforced. Passenger’s door may
be welded solid or have extra ties. You may install a bar
reinforcement behind the driver’s seat, which extends from one side
of the car to the other.

No special electrical systems. One 12 volt battery is
allowed. Batteries may be moved. Battery tie downs must be secure.
No wire, rope, or seatbelt strapping. No dozer batteries.

All side chrome must be removed. All plastic
including plastic grills must be removed.

All cars must be numbered. Pick your own number and
paint it on car.

Hoods and trunk lids may be tied down with two
straps, or a small chain, after inspection. No bolts or welds are
permitted on hood or trunk. A hole must be in center of hood. No
holes can be placed over the fan. Hood and trunk springs must be
removed. Hood hinges must be on car.

All trailer hitches must be removed.

All air conditioning units must be removed.

Cooling system must remain under hood.

Positively no water in tires. No bolting tire to the
rim or fastening tires to the rim in any way. Tires must be street
legal. No studs or cut tires.

Do not raise the car up. If car is too high, it will
not be accepted. No welding on any suspension parts.

You can be disqualified for the following, leaking
gas, hung up on a car or log, leaving the driving area, or sitting
dead on the course for any other reason decided upon by officials.

You may drive forward or backwards. No deliberate
hitting in the driver’s door.

You must be 18 years of age to compete. Proof
of age is required when you enter your car. No one
under 16 will be permitted in the pit area.

Cars must be entered one hour before starting time.

Injuries, no matter how small, must be reported to
the officials in charge.
