show at the Somerset County Fair Dan & Galla's Musical show celebrates many styles of music with highly entertaining, upbeat and interactive performances featurung music from the 50's/60's, Russian, Rock/Pop, Patriotic, Country , Irish, Italian, Novelty, Show Tunes and much more.
This husband and wife team receives rave reviews wherever they perform – from festivals to fairs, colleges, schools, outdoor concerts, cruise ships and many special events.
Their love of many styles of music, and the fun they have while on stage, appeals to all ages as they both sing and are multi-cultural as well as instrumental. In addition to all the styles of music they perform, they enjoy playing their particular brand of what they call “Heritage Music” celebrating the roots of many who came from the “Old Country” to Pennsylvania.
Galla is half-Russian and she plays the balalaika. (Russian 3-stringed instrument), guitar, flute and the “washtub bass.” Dan is an accomplished pianist and plays keyboard and accordion.
Galla & Dan have been professional musicians and entertainers for more than 15 years. Before forming their duo, they toured extensively with the 5-piece band, “Whiskers & Lace.”
Fun theme include Kid's Shows with hula hoops and a colorful limbo stick, luau beach party with uklele, country western hoedown, celebrate America, Oktoberfest, Russian & Irish.
