Antique Farm Machinery

An antique farm machinery judging contest will again be held at the Somerset County Fair.
 

The display and contest is presented by           Seven Springs Mountain Resort,

Special rules:
1. All equipment must be in operating condition and should indicate what year it was manufactured
2. Entries can only be operated at the discretion of the management. Limited exhibit space has been provided. Space will be given on a first come-first serve basis. Pre-registration is required.
Classes:
1 – Tillage – Plows Cultivator
2 – Planting – Equipment used in planting
3 – Harvesting – Harvesters – Threshers
4 – Wagon, sleds and carts
5 -- Tractors -- up to 1940 
6 -- Tractors -- 1941 to 1945                                                                                                                                           

7 – Tractors  -- 1946 to 1950
8 – Tractors  -- 1951 to 1955
9 – Tractors --  1956 to 1960
10–Tractors --  1961 to 1980
11– Gas engines and Power units to 1950
12 – Miscellaneous
Awards: 1. $12; 2. $8; 3. $5 in all classes.
Trophies and plaques will be awarded in all classes.
Any antique equipment manufactured in Somerset County would be appreciated.

Tractors will be judged at 1 p.m. Sunday                       Pre-registration form must be received by August 1st
Entry day between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. the first Saturday
Release day is 7 to 9 p.m. the last Saturday
